CONSTITUTIONS

Basically constitutions of late had to be forced on a slave owning aristocracy whose brinkmanship still got the better of the masses in most cases. In our US and Canadian constitutions we reacted to strife through letters of correspondence, a patchwork was put together and most of it denied. In Europe many of the Magna Charters were a bit more bloody, the French constitution was by head count ie. as they rolled off the guillotine. In most cases economic democracy was rejected and representative oligarchy took it's place _ just another form of second hand monarchy or fascism controlled by the aristocracy. A definite catch 22.
